ABSTRACTBackground: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is one of suppliying hormone medication because of disability bodysystem producing endogen hormone. Estrogen is the most hormone agent which used as HRT since 1930-s. Because thelarge number of used, there so many research which studying about benefit and loss of using estrogen therapy. One of thosestudy was researching the influence of HRT in balancing haemostatic and functional capillaries which related in severalphysiologic and pathologic conditions like coronary heart disease (CHD), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), cancer, and alsowound healing. Purposes: The aims of this study are perceiving estradiol level increased in blood serum afterintramuscular injection of 0.1mg/100grBW estradiol valerate, counting capillaries which implicated as angiogenesismarker, and perceiving capillary vasodilation activity which compensated by increased of thrombophillic activity. Methods:This research used 24 rats Whistar which divided into 2 groups, control group (K) and treated group (P), each group wasdivided into 2 subgroups based on time of samples collecting. Group K injected intramuscularly by 0.9mg/100grBW ofsaline solution, and group P injected intramuscularly by 0.1mg/100grBW of estradiol valerate, and both of group habituatedfor 7 days. On 8th day, central left mandible incisor was extracted. Mandible and blood samples were collected at 11th dayand 15th day. Results: Used of 0.1mg/100grBW could increase estradiol level in blood serum significantly (p0.05)Conclusion: Increased of estradiol in blood serum by using HRT are improving count and vasodilation activity ofcapillaries in post-extraction wound.
